Artists’talk with ROBIDA
Casa Cavazzini (Udine)
, 9 April 2026
— 18:30
On Thursday 9 April at 6.30 pm, the third event in the public programme of the exhibition From Evidence to Imagination will host an open discussion at Casa Cavazzini between the Robida collective and curator Lorenzo Lazzari.
The Robida collective is based in the small village of Topolò/Topolove (Grimacco, Udine). Their site-specific practice is documented through numerous printed projects, sound recordings, videos and the outcomes of artistic workshops, amongst other things. In the exhibition, an installation brings together a diverse collection of documentation on their activities in Topolò and the relational exchanges that have taken place over the years. Visitors are invited to enter and explore the materials on display, with a question in mind: is it possible to conceive of and realise new ways of living together that do not conflict with the well-being of the planet?
Free admission, subject to availability
Robida is a cultural association and collective based in Topolò/Topolove (Grimacco), a small village of 25 inhabitants in the province of Udine, on the border between Friuli Venezia Giulia and Slovenia. The collective works with a multidisciplinary approach on various projects rooted in Topolò, or taking the village as a starting point for reflections and practices. Robida is active between the fields of publishing and spatial practices: for over ten years, Robida has published a multilingual magazine, Robida magazine, operated a community radio station, and organized projects and actions of care for the nature-culture surrounding Topolò. It also organizes an Academy of Margins, constantly investigating new ways of inhabiting the village and its landscape. In 2022, Robida was awarded the New European Bauhaus Prize for the project Topolò/Topolove: The Village as House.
