It is an artistic project that reflects on the symbolic functioning of objects with an explicit reference to the surrealist artists who, in the past, worked with innovative sensitivity on the associations between the concepts place/house and body/woman. In this multimedia work, domestic items evoke anthropomorphic shapes, such as a hot water bottle hanging, smoking, like a severed head. Some of these items become a metaphor for dysfunctional bodies, for what is usually censored. These assembled objects/subjects are spread out within a dull, lunar world, immersed in an eloquent silence.

Angela

Lucia

Maria

Debora Vrizzi is a video artist and director of photography.
